On December 8th, 2013 in Brighton, the first department combined by container was officially put into use. Used by Brighton housing trust, especially to provide temporary accommodation for the homeless.
The department is transformed by 36 containers. The previous yard also transform into parking lot. In the meanwhile, department also has balconies and outer stairs. Interior of department equipped with rest area, kitchen and bedroom etc.
The wardrobe, cabinets such necessary furniture are also be equipped with.
Living in such a sweet and comfortable department may make you feel like living in your own home.
English government has taken a lot of measures to solve the housing problem for
the poor. Among the measures, container department got much attention because of its features of low cost, green and environmental protection. Such container department is simple and flexible, the cost is not very high as well. Once there has a new development way, it can be removed in a short time. So it may provide some reference for us in solving the housing shortage problem in large cities.
